Responsibilities:

Sign-On & Relocation Bonus

This position is eligible for enhanced incentives for CVL-experienced nurses:
  • 0-2 years: $12,500 + $6,000 relocation (2-year commitment)
  • 3-4 years: $17,500 + $6,000 relocation (2-year commitment)
  • 5+ years: $22,500 + $6,000 relocation (3-year commitment)


Standard Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (typically 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • 40 hours per week


3-Week Rotation Schedule
  • Weeks 1 & 2: Work regular lab schedule (4x10s) with no call responsibilities
  • Week 3: Work the Alternative Call Schedule


Alternative Call Schedule
  • During the call week, the team member is responsible for all assigned call coverage, including:
    • Nights
    • Weekends
  • Holidays 1 winter and 1 summer, and do not necessarily line up with the week someone is on alternative call
    • Any call-ins that occur during that week
  • Must be able to report to the CVL within 30 minutes when called in.


Compensation During the Alternative Call Week
  • Team members receive a full 40-hour paycheck for the alternative call week.
  • There is no separate call pay.
  • There is no call back pay.
  • Any cases worked while on call are already included in the Alternative Call Schedule compensation.
    • This compensation model often results in pay that is equal to or greater than a traditional call pay and callback pay structure.

Differentials

  • Because the Alternative Call Schedule covers nights and weekends, there are generally limited opportunities to earn additional night or weekend differentials during the call week.


A cardiac cath lab nurse specializes in:
  • Assisting with catheterizations
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Administering medications
  • Supporting procedural teams

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration and moderate sedation
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Circulating and scrubbing in EP and invasive procedures
  • Patient and family education
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance


Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
  • Active NM or Compact RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at hire
  • One (1) year of CVL Experience HIGHLY Preferred
  • One (1) year of Cardiac Critical Care Highly Preferred
