Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.To be successful in this role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.   • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control, the "7 Rights" of medication administration, and accurate physician order management
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, procedures, and condition monitoring while ensuring precise, timely, and compliant documentation
  • Coordinate and update interdisciplinary care plans daily to ensure collaboration and patient-centered progress
  • Provide holistic, ethical care while educating patients and families and protecting their rights, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Foster a positive team environment, mentor peers, manage resources effectively, and proactively resolve unit-based challenges
  • Commit to continuous learning, annual goal setting, and strict compliance with organizational attendance and performance standards
Job Requirements

Required

  • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the state of California
  • Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS certificate
  • Must possess and maintain a current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate or obtain one within 6 months of hire
  • Must be able to take call, float to other areas, and work on weekends as required

Preferred

 

  • One (1) or more years experience in Telemetry or acute care setting
  • Basic EKG certificate
  • Bilingual

 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
