$38.45 - $57.68 an hour - Full-Time Days, 36 hours per week
+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking an RN Clinical Team Lead for PCU where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the RN will apply nursing theories, procedures, and standards to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care. The RN performs professional nursing in a safe and therapeutic manner in the care and treatment of patients; provides safe, efficient and accurate technical support within the department and gives guidance and direction to auxiliary personnel. Qualifications
• Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS required by end of conditional period.
• ACLS certification required through the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification required through the American Heart Association
• PCCN certification preferred
• One to two years RN clinical nursing experience required
• Six months to one-year Telemetry/Critical Care experience required .
Responsibilities
• Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills.
• Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes.
• Interprets cardiac monitoring system strips as ordered by physician.
• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition.
• Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary patient care team to identify patient learning needs, develops and implements an individualized teaching plan.
• Management position supervising RN, Nurse Externs, Volunteers, PCA, UC and other support staff.
• Staff growth and development in conjunction with unit manager by providing excellence in care, opportunities for growth and communicating problem behavior.
• Staff growth and development in conjunction with unit manager by leading by example when promoting excellence in care, opportunities for growth and communicating problem behavior.
• Supports staff by intervening in conflict and/or problem solving. Escalates to nurse manager, ARN, or patient representative if unable to de-escalate, resolve or facilitate.
• Shift goals include Meeting budget, reducing waste, meeting shift HPPD.
• Provides staff positive recognition, constructive feedback, and coaching.
• Promotes speaking up and crucial conversations.
• Nursing care is provided in conformance with current recognized nursing practice, procedures, policies and established standards of care.
• Monitors patient conditions continuously for immediate recognition, interpretation and management according to developed policies, procedures and standards
