Registered Nurse Clinical Service Lead - Surgery

$38.45 - $57.68 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Service Lead for Surgery who will assist the service coordinator in the direction of surgical nursing care to BCH standards and philosophy. Serves as clinical resource/expert for designated surgical specialty service(s).

Qualifications
• Graduate of a school of nursing as required by licensure.
• Colorado RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required by end of conditional period.
• Member of professional organization encouraged.
• Two years RN O.R. nursing experience. At least one year in half the service applying for.
Responsibilities
• Utilizes staff and equipment for optimum patient care.
• Acts as role model to staff.
• Functions as a resource.
• Performs managerial responsibilities as mutually agreed upon with the Service Coordinator
• Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with respect to race, sex, spiritual, age-specific growth and developmental needs. When applicable, must be able to adjust the essential functions they perform appropriately to the age of their patient/customer.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills.
• Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial process.
• Demonstrates independent nursing decisions in patient care.
• Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care.
• Communicates clearly in all aspects of documentation.
• Ability to assess, treat, and/or care for patients with regards to age.
• May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer.
• Refers staff issues or disciplinary actions to Service Coordinator/or Manager.
