Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.
Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards.

- Assesses patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit's daily operations during designated shift.
- Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
- Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
- Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Job RequirementsRequired- Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- One year RN ICU experience
- TNCC or TCAR within one year of hire
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
Preferred- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- CCRN
Where You'll WorkThe Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Medical Center has 14 beds. Our department's specialty is Critical Care - to include Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), proning, and protocols for sepsis, stroke, hypothermia, mass transfusions and OB hemorrhage - to name just a few. We treat medical and surgical critically ill adult patients 18 years and older, Level III trauma patients 15 and older, OB emergency patients related to seizure and hemorrhage and we get overflow from Med/Surg related to capacity.
