Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our RN Cardiovascular Program Manager, you will coordinate care and services for cardiovascular patients across the continuum, ensuring the highest standards of quality, best practices, and evidence-based medicine within our cardiovascular programs. Every day you will promote effective resource utilization, assume a leadership role in identifying and eliminating barriers to care, and act as a clinical expert and liaison to physicians, hospital associates, patients, and families, driving optimal clinical outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with expertise in cardiovascular care, strong leadership and program management skills, a proven ability to drive quality improvement and utilize resources effectively, and exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Manages the buildout of the hospital cardiovascular service line through implementation of strategic priorities.
- In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, develops, maintains, and monitors service linespecific practice guidelines, order sets, and clinical pathways using evidencebased medicine.
- Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team in the daytoday facility operations within the cardiovascular service line.
- Manages and monitors compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Manages data and quality metrics measuring service line performance.
- Work to obtain and/or maintain certification of the programs through relevant accrediting agencies.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Background in cardiology nursing
- Current state RN license/ Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact
- BLS Certification in applicable professional clinical specialty or nursing administration required upon hire or within six (6) months (such as CNML)
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- Minimum five (5) years in acute care nursing
- Two (2) years in cardiology
- Experience with program coordination
