Full Job Description
Purpose of Job

Develops and implements asset strategies to maximize mechanical reliability, optimize costs, and ensure long-term performance utilizing the GE APM database. Works closely with unit operations, maintenance, inspection, and technology teams to troubleshoot and investigate equipment failures, identifying and eliminating bad actors. Collaborates with internal and external peers to foster a results-oriented Reliability Centered Culture.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodology to support Maintenance, Operations, and Inspection teams in managing fixed/static equipment. Apply RBI principles to prioritize inspection and maintenance activities based on risk, degradation mechanisms, and criticality.
  • Assess short- and long-term risks associated with fixed equipment, offering timely recommendations to mitigate integrity concerns and optimize inspection intervals.
  • Develop, review, and implement RBI inspection plans, including scopes for inspection, repair, or replacement of critical equipment, ensuring alignment with integrity management programs, regulatory codes (API/ASME), and reliability objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for risk reduction and long-term reliability improvements for fixed equipment to extend asset life, reduce unplanned downtime, and minimize maintenance costs, focusing on high-criticality and repeat-failure assets.
  • Monitor and analyze inspection data, thickness readings, corrosion trends, and equipment notifications to identify emerging risks and update inspection priorities accordingly.
  • Track and report on RBI performance metrics, updating the Asset Management Plan as needed.
  • Ensure Mechanical Integrity and RBI compliance across units, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and risk-based inspection outcomes to Unit Inspectors and the Fixed Equipment Team Lead.
