Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, planning, legal, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in right-of-way, property acquisition, title research, appraisal, paralegal, or related work.
• Knowledge of right-of-way acquisition processes, property valuation, and title examination.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to right-of-way and property acquisition.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder interaction.,

Responsibilities

• Perform right-of-way activities including cost estimates, scoping for appraisals, and acquisition support.
• Conduct title searches to identify property ownership and evaluate interests and encumbrances.
• Review right-of-way and construction plans for landowner communications.
• Prepare legal descriptions, acquisition documents, and supporting materials.
• Negotiate with property owners to acquire right-of-way and easements.
• Coordinate and provide relocation assistance in accordance with regulations.
• Inspect impacted properties to assess project impacts on land and structures.
• Collaborate with teams, public agencies, and stakeholders to advance project goals.
