DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position examines and analyzes complex individual and multi-tiered entity tax returns, business structures, and related projects. Work determines compliance with PA Personal Income Tax laws, Sales and Use Tax laws, Small Games of Chance laws, and related regulations and policies with a focus on Sales, Use, and Hotel Occupancy tax returns. As a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Analyze Fiscal Data: Conduct specialized and highly detailed financial and tax accounting analyses of complex pass-through business organizations
- Assess Proposed Policies: Design and conduct studies of legislative and administrative proposals to predict potential effects and the performance of financial conditions
- Evaluate Program Compliance: Analyze the effectiveness of the specialized examination programs to ensure compliance
- Communicate Findings: Suggest policy and process improvements, identify potential new problem areas to be researched, and prepare recommendations of non-compliance issues
- Review Tax Returns: Analyze various types of tax returns, business and non-profit operations, to determine compliance and make appropriate adjustments to correctly reflect the tax liabilities
- Support Revisions: Research PA, federal, and multi-state tax laws; assist with preparing revisions to regulations, policies, and bulletins

Work Schedule and Additional Information: - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- One year as a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in fiscal analysis and a master's degree in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or computer science; or
- Three years of technical experience in fiscal analysis and a bachelor's degree including thirty credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, and/or computer science; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:- You must possess at least two years of professional tax accounting or tax auditing experience.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements: - This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
