Job Description:

The Retirement Plan Services Manager (RPSM) will be responsible for the development and day-to-day support of HTK's qualified and non-qualified retirement plan program and product offerings. RPSM shall also serve as the SME in providing solutions as well as regulatory guidance, in conjunction with Compliance and/or Legal, to HTK's financial professionals. This role will work closely with HTK's Compliance, Supervision, BD and RIA Product, Sales Support and Business Development, BD and RIA Operations, and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing HTK’s retirement plan platforms and product offerings including any web based applications. This is inclusive of billing support.
  • Stay current on the regulatory framework surrounding the retirement plan industry which is inclusive of ERISA knowledge related to qualified retirement plans.
  • Ongoing engagement with HTK financial professionals to discuss their respective retirement plan business practices and HTK’s products and offerings and how they may best fit a financial professional’s practice;
  • Establishment of, at minimum, quarterly business review meetings with retirement plan product providers.
  • Establishment of periodic meetings with HTK’s Product Team and Sales Support and Business Development team;
  • Perform regular due diligence of approved retirement plan providers, including a detailed review of responses to HTK’s questionnaires, public disclosures (ADV), IA agreements and may also include on-site visits with firms.
  • Research and propose new retirement plan product offerings.
  • Partner with RIA Compliance and enterprise Legal to ensure updating amendments, ADV’s, policy & procedures, client agreements, are current with respect to HTK’s retirement plan product offering.
  • Develop HTK’s ongoing retirement plan training program for financial professionals.
  • Periodic attendance and/or presentation at HTK’s and/or industry conferences or regional summits. Perform due diligence and provide detailed analysis on requests/submissions from the field. Analysis would include, but not be limited to, assessing the various risk factors with a given product, carrier, and/or investment platform.
  • Serve as a member of HTK’s Product Committee and assist HTK’s Product Committee regarding how HTK might mitigate undue risks.
  • On-boarding of approved products and selling agreements by working with various functional areas i.e., legal, compliance, commissions, operations, etc.
  • Provide leadership to other team members.


Skills and Abilities

  • Strong qualified plan industry, Defined Contribution plan design and ERISA knowledge. This includes but is not limited to 401k, 403(b), 457, Simple, SEP, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of investment products including UMAs, SMAs, mutual funds, variable annuities/life, ETFs, non-traded REITs, alternative investments, etc.
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of investment concepts including but not limited to:
    • Financial and economic markets/ drivers
    • Performance attribution and style analysis for quantitative/qualitative analysis
    • Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) and portfolio measurements
    • Beta, Sharpe ratio, Alpha, Standard Deviation, etc.
    • Strategic and tactical management styles
    • FFO/ MFFO and applicable alternative investment measurements
  • Knowledge of broker dealer/RIA operations, compliance, and asset management platforms.
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels across the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong detail orientation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline required
  • 5-7 Years of experience in financial services, preferably as a retirement plan specialist/consultant or similar position with a full service broker/dealer RIA required

  • FINRA Series 7 Required and
  • FINRA Series 24 Required and
  • FINRA Series 66 Required and
  • Certified Financial Planner-CFP Board AIF or other similar accredited retirement plan and/or fiduciary professional designation Required

Base Salary Range - $115,000 - $130,000
