Overview

CAPTRUST is seeking a Retirement Plan Consulting, Senior Manager to collaborate with Financial Advisors, client service professionals, and clients to provide technical retirement plan consulting, fiduciary education, plan design benchmarking, governance review, and regulatory compliance guidance. Intended internal title will be Senior Manager | Retirement Plan Consultant.  Primary responsibilities may include the following:

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert for Retirement Plan Consulting by providing oversight, guidance, and strategic support across key service areas, including:o Technical and regulatory guidance for qualified retirement planso Fiduciary trainingo Plan design consulting and benchmarkingo Industry thought leadershipo Prospect supporto Client onboardingo IRS correction programso Misc. consulting services (i.e., project work)
  • Provide ERISA expertise and technical support to CAPTRUST’s Financial Advisors and clients.
  • Provide client support around plan design, including cost and impact analysis, plan design benchmarking, and peer-to-peer reviews.
  • Provide prospect support for Financial Advisors around plan design.
  • Present complex and technical material to audiences of all levels.
  • Keep internal and external parties up to date on regulatory matters.
  • Present fiduciary training modules for plan committees to ensure clients understand their role as fiduciaries.
  • Create and update content for the Retirement Plan Consulting team intranet page, SharePoint site, and deliverable templates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with plan auditors, ERISA counsel, and actuarial service providers.
  • Contribute to team and firm-level strategic projects.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a four-year college degree – Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 12 years of relevant retirement industry experience.

Desire Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ERISA guidelines and regulations.
  • Experience working with defined contribution plans, specifically 401(k) and 403(b) plans.
  • Retirement plan administration or compliance experience with a recordkeeper or TPA.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Industry-related certifications and designations are desired (examples: QPA, QKA, CEBS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel/PowerPoint.
