Full Job Description
As a Regional Assistant Vice President, you will lead with an entrepreneurial mindset, acting as the business owner for your assigned region. You will oversee Branch Managers across multiple locations, driving performance, profitability, and growth while ensuring operational excellence. Your role is pivotal in shaping customer experience, fostering community engagement, and developing high-performing teams that reflect Woodforest's core values: Ownership, Service, Community, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership

Operate the region as a business owner - driving performance, managing resources, and making strategic decisions that support long-term growth and profitability.

Lead and coach Branch Managers to achieve sales, deposit growth, and lending goals while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Recruit, train, retain, and motivate Branch Managers to build a high-performing team that meets profitability, sales, customer experience, compliance, and growth objectives.

Manage expense control, risk mitigation, and adherence to regulatory guidelines across all branches.

Track and review daily region performance levels; compile summary reports and communicate standings; develop and implement action plans for improvement areas.

Service

Champion a customer-first culture by coaching Branch Managers to deliver the Woodforest Experience at every touchpoint.

Drive client acquisition, strengthen relationships, and promote lending and wealth management solutions through your leadership team.

Provide senior-level guidance on customer concerns, operational questions, risk management, and human resource issues.

Proactively manage process improvements to enhance service and operational efficiency.

Community

Build meaningful relationships within the communities served by your region, positioning Woodforest as a trusted financial partner.

Collaborate with Retail Partners and Community Development Relationship Managers to create engagement opportunities and support local initiatives.

Promote community development and service in local communities.

Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and respect within your leadership team and across branches.

Leadership & Operational Excellence

Conduct regular update and strategy meetings with direct reports and leadership teams.

Manage, develop, and lead branch management teams; approve incentives, expense reports, and other personnel and compensation matters.

Conduct frequent branch visits to ensure adherence to bank policies, consistency in sales and marketing efforts, successful implementation of new products and services, and to maintain strong professional relationships with branch employees and retail partners.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years successfully leading a team at Woodforest National Bank; OR 6 years of sales management experience (Banking Preferred) including multi-site leadership; OR a bachelor's degree and 4 years of progressive banking and sales management experience.

Formal Education & Certification:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Work Status:
• Full-Time

Supervisory Responsibility:
• Responsible and accountable for all personnel and employment decisions for assigned region.

Travel:
• Up to 75% travel expected.

Working Conditions:
• Conditions include standing most of the time, may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs. Technology Requirement: Must maintain a mobile device compatible with the Cisco Duo app for secure authentication.
