Full Job Description
Reporting Relationship: The Retail Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP, Product Development, eCommerce & Marketing for the Arrow Fastener business.

About the Role:

Our product teams build good programs. Where we lose is in execution - programs that land late, land partially, or never make it to the shelf and the retailer site the way they were designed. This role exists to fix that.

We're hiring a Retail Marketing Manager to own the retail marketing calendar and the discipline behind it across Lowe's, The Home Depot, Menards, and the independent hardware channel (Ace, True Value, Do it Best, and regional co-ops and distributors). You will be the single point of accountability for turning a program on a page into a program that is fully installed - priced right, promoted on time, merchandised correctly, in stock, live online, and measured after the fact.

This is a builder's role in a lean organization. You will not inherit a machine; you will create one - the calendar, the brief templates, the retailer-facing toolkits, the launch checklists, and the post-program readouts. And you will carry the consumer and customer voice into every one of those decisions.

What You Will Do:
  • Retail marketing calendar - Build and maintain the master annual and quarterly calendar across all accounts and channels: line review dates, program windows, promotional events, seasonal resets, new-item launches, instore and .com activation, and trade/co-op commitments.
  • Program execution and installation - Own end-to-end execution of product and channel programs: briefs, timelines, asset deadlines, packaging and display readiness, retailer setup requirements, sales enablement, and field/rep follow-through. Chase compliance until it is verified, not assumed.
  • Pricing and promotional strategy - Partner with product, sales, and finance on retail price architecture, goodbetter-best laddering, promotional cadence, MAP discipline, and event pricing that is feasible in-market and defensible on margin
  • • Competitive and category intelligence - Maintain an ongoing read on competitor assortment, pricing, promotions, packaging, and shelf presence in the fastening and hand tool aisles and translate it into recommendations our teams can act on.
  • Consumer and customer voice - Bring the pro and DIV shopper into the room: reviews, ratings, search behavior, store walks, contractor and associate feedback, and category data. Make sure programs answer a real shopper job, not an internal preference.
  • Retailer-ready storytelling - Build the line review and program materials our sales team presents: category narrative, program rationale, planogram support, sell sheets, launch kits, and .com content requirements
  • Measurement and accountability - Define what "installed" means for each program, track it, and publish honest post-event readouts on sell-through, compliance, ROI, and what we change next cycle.
  • Cross-functional operating rhythm - Run the recurring cadence that keeps product, sales, e-commerce, packaging, supply chain, customer service, and outside agencies aligned to one calendar and one set of dates.

What You Bring:
  • 7+ years in retail marketing, trade/channel marketing, shopper marketing, or customer marketing for a consumer or B2B durable goods manufacturer
  • Direct experience with home improvement and/or hardware retail - Lowe's, The Home Depot, Menards, and/or the independent channel (Ace, True Value, Do it Best} strongly preferred; other big-box or hardline retail considered
  • A demonstrated track record of execution - you can point to programs you personally drove from brief to verified in-store and online installation, on time and complete
  • Genuine consumer and customer centricity - this is the most important qualification. You start from the shopper and the retailer's needs, and you can defend a recommendation with evidence
  • Working fluency in retail pricing and promotional mechanics: price architecture, promo planning, funding, coop/MDF, MAP, and margin math
  • Comfort with syndicated and retailer data (POS, share, search, ratings and reviews} and the ability to turn it into a clear point of view
  • Strong project management instincts and process discipline - calendars, briefs, gate dates, checklists, and the persistence to enforce them
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; credible with executives, retail buyers, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability without formal authority
  • Able to commute to and work from our Saddle Brook, NJ office and partner hand-in-hand with all functions on site
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred: line review preparation and participation; packaging and in-store display development; retailer.com content and digital shelf experience; Amazon or marketplace exposure; agency or rep-group management; experience with a stage/gate product development process; familiarity with planogram and space tools.
