The Retail Business Development Officer is responsible for driving consumer and small business growth across multiple branches within a defined market area. This role focuses on developing new relationships, deepening existing ones, and executing strategic initiatives to increase deposits, loans, and other banking products. The position serves as a key liaison between branches and the market leadership team to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Education and Experience: - 5 years of experience in retail banking, business development, sales management, or relationship management
- Bachelor's degree in business concentration (management, finance, marketing) or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Community leadership affiliations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, small business development councils) preferred
Skills and Abilities: - Proven ability to generate new consumer and small business relationships.
- Strong prospecting, networking, and pipeline management skills.
- Ability to coach, influence, and support branch teams to achieve growth goals.
- Ability to build trust with customers, community organizations, referral partners, and internal teams.
- Experience developing and executing market-level strategies.
- Deep understanding of retail banking products (deposits, loans, digital tools, treasury services).
- Ability to influence without direct authority across multiple branches.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Support branches in achieving sales goals through coaching, training, and joint calls.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to implement localized strategies and events.

- Promote a full suite of retail banking products including deposits, lending, treasury services, and digital solutions.
- Educate clients on financial solutions tailored to their needs.
