As a Restaurant Technology Product Owner Senior Specialist, you'll lead the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of technology products that power the restaurant experience across Whataburger. You'll partner with Operations, Engineering, Architecture, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions that improve performance, enhance the customer experience, and support our long-term growth.

Day-to-Day Ingredients - Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Technology Product Owner Senior Specialist, you will:
  • Lead product strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle management for restaurant technology platforms
  • Prioritize initiatives that balance business value, scalability, and technical feasibility
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture on solution design, integrations, APIs, and platform modernization
  • Evaluate technology investments and build-versus-buy opportunities
  • Drive Agile product delivery, release planning, and execution across multiple initiatives
  • Monitor product performance, reliability, adoption, and customer experience metrics
  • Lead pilots, testing, and enterprise rollouts to ensure successful implementation
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, technology, or related disciplines

Where & How You'll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on-site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you'll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast-paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full-time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
