OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, and patient assessment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory support and patient care. Responsibilities- Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures
- Adhere to established policies and procedures of the community to which the position is assigned
- Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients' needs
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses
- Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the company policies and patient care outcome standards
- Follow to emergency, safety and infection control procedures of the community to which the position is assigned
- Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications
- Report and document changes in the patient's respiratory status to the Physician, Nurse and others responsible for oversight of patient care, prior to exiting community
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the community
Requirements- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of associate degree from an accredited school
- Graduate of a respiratory care program required
- Bachelor of Science degree in the health care field preferred
- Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Must hold a current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification
