Responsibilities

Description

PromptCare is seeking a Respiratory Clinical Supervisor to ensure the provision of safe, effective respiratory services and products to patients at home, including therapeutics, diagnostics, oxygen and respiratory equipment. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the Regional Director of Operations. The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch, in coordination with the Administrative Assistant and Regional Director of Operations, and supervises clinical operations and Respiratory Therapists.

Reports to: Regional Director of Respiratory Operations

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) state license
  • Current CRT or RRT certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong respiratory equipment and product knowledge
  • Strong communication, teaching and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and effectively lead clinical staff
  • Knowledge of home respiratory care, patient assessments, Plans of Service/Care and regulatory requirements
  • Active membership in a professional respiratory therapy organization preferred

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

Clinical Leadership & Branch Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations in coordination with the Regional Director of Operations and Administrative Assistant.
  • Supervise and support Respiratory Therapists to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards of practice.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff and assist with resolving branch-level issues.
  • Support employee selection, orientation, training, competency evaluations and ongoing development.

Patient Care & Clinical Services:
  • Oversee patient assessments, admissions and ongoing evaluation of clinical, equipment and environmental needs.
  • Ensure appropriate development, implementation, evaluation and documentation of Plans of Service/Care.
  • Participate in team and case conferences and provide clinical guidance to Respiratory Therapists.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide timely patient support as needed.

Patient Education & Equipment:
  • Ensure patients and caregivers receive appropriate education regarding respiratory equipment, maintenance and therapy.
  • Oversee equipment setup, maintenance, testing, downloads and respiratory procedures in accordance with company policies and standards.
  • Ensure required patient education and clinical documentation is completed accurately and timely.

Compliance & Quality:
  • Maintain patient, employee and financial confidentiality in accordance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control, HIPAA and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, required training and in-services.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and required continuing education.

Vendor & Business Development:
  • Coordinate with vendors and Purchasing regarding equipment, supplies, defects and recalls.
  • Support agency education, community relationships, in-services and other business development activities.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain appropriate vehicle and equipment stock and follow company vehicle policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
