Job DescriptionThe Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality respiratory care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines and objectives of Respiratory Care Services. The RCP makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient.
QualificationsEducation:- Graduate of an approved CoARC RCP Program.
Licensure and Certifications: - Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License by the state of California
- CRT required. RRT required if hired after July 2017
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification required
Experience: - A minimum of 6 months post graduate acute care as an RCP
- Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred
