Job Description
The FAST-TB Program, a global tuberculosis research program focused on sharing knowledge and resources to support research and public health outcomes, is seeking a Resource Engagement & Platform Specialist to support digital platforms, stakeholder engagement, communications, and data reporting. This role serves as a coordination point among program leadership, technical teams, communications functions, researchers, and external stakeholders. The position combines external website management, SharePoint-based knowledge management, data visualization, content coordination, and stakeholder engagement in a collaborative global health research environment. This role is based in Arlington, VA with a hybrid work arrangement; however, remote candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and update the program's external-facing website, including back-end administration, content updates, organization, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Enhance existing website pages and interactive content to increase reach and engagement among stakeholders and tuberculosis experts.
- Coordinate the design, organization, and maintenance of SharePoint or similar knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Manage platform user onboarding, permissions, access controls, membership tracking, document libraries, resource repositories, and collaborative spaces.
- Maintain platform workflows, governance documentation, version control, and consistency of digital content and shared resources.
- Monitor platform functionality and user experience, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance, integrations, and enhancements with IT or technical teams.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visual reports, and program summaries using Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Compile, organize, and maintain data for reporting, analysis, program monitoring, engagement tracking, and decision-making.
- Prepare routine progress updates, reporting materials, presentations, newsletters, announcements, and meeting summaries for internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate meetings, webinars, workshops, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Engage with partners, collaborators, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and strengthen participation across the program.
- Maintain program contact lists, stakeholder affiliations, data documentation, and reporting standards.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in public health, communications, information systems, data science, life sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in digital platforms, communications, research coordination, stakeholder engagement, data support, or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience managing an external-facing website, including content updates and back-end administration.
- Working knowledge of WordPress or a comparable content management system.
- Experience with SharePoint or a similar document and knowledge management system.
- Experience compiling and organizing data for reporting and analysis.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Power BI or another data visualization platform.
- Experience working in academic research, global health, or U.S. Government-funded programs.
- Experience with digital engagement platforms or virtual collaboration tools for distributed teams.
- Experience with stakeholder communication and engagement activities across complex programs.
- Graphic design experience.
Salary & Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $76,720 to $95,000. The determination of salaries in this job classification depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant candidate experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills.
