Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resource Analyst to support budget planning, execution, and reporting activities. This role is responsible for managing financial data, tracking obligations, and ensuring accurate visibility into budget performance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a steady-paced office environment, can translate complex data into clear insights, and is adaptable to learning new financial tools and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the full lifecycle of budget tracking, including spend plans and funding adjustments
  • Monitor and track obligations and Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs)
  • Analyze financial data and prepare daily and ad hoc reports for leadership
  • Develop clear, visually compelling dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau) for senior stakeholders, including Directors
  • Support reallocation of funding based on program needs and priorities
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data
  • Utilize financial systems (e.g., Cognos and other tools) to extract, analyze, and report data
  • Continuously adapt to and learn new systems, including organization-specific budget tools


Required Skills

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis functions
  • Experience working with financial systems such as Cognos or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau (or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a steady-paced environment


Desired Skills

  • Experience in budget formulation, execution, or financial management
  • Familiarity with government or organizational budget processes
  • Experience working with custom or proprietary financial tools


Additional Details

Fusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:

  • Relevant education, certifications, and training
  • Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the customer
  • Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
  • Alignment with the position's responsibilities
  • Additional specialized skills


In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be considered for discretionary bonuses and are eligible for Fusion Innovation's comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, company-sponsored retirement contributions, paid leave, professional development opportunities, and other employee benefits.
