Role Summary

S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Resolution Coordinator to oversee the coordination, documentation, and preliminary analysis of disputes, focusing on contractual issues, delays, and cost overruns across S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd.'s construction projects. The coordinator will be instrumental in supporting the construction project team by ensuring all project events are thoroughly documented and analyzed, claims are prepared accurately, and resolution efforts are efficiently coordinated. This role is critical for protecting S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd.'s monetary interests and supporting project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

·Contract Review and Compliance: Examine contracts, subcontracts, and project documents to identify potential claims, ensuring strict administrative compliance with contractual deadlines and substantiation requirements.

·Forensic Documentation and Analysis: Conduct detailed investigations and gather data on technical construction issues and project events. This includes preliminary analysis to support the assessment of claim validity and the determination of the cost of the concurrent delay.

·Claim Preparation Coordination: Coordinate the preparation of expert claims reports, ensure all claim requirements are documented, and gather relevant background information and documentation from the construction project team.

·Negotiation Support: Assist in the preparation for negotiations and work toward amicable settlements, providing necessary documentation and analysis to the construction project team.

·Project Financial Management Support: Support the construction project team by tracking and documenting claim-related financial impacts, providing advice, and ensuring claims are resolved efficiently to help control project costs.

·Internal Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, project teams, and coordinate with the safety department to gather information, manage claims effectively, and support the resolution of complex issues.

·External Legal Collaboration:Work closely with internal project teams and external legal counsel to gather information, track and facilitate timely responses, manage legal claims effectively, and support the resolution of complex legal issues.

·Reporting and Tracking: Prepare periodic reports for the construction project team and senior management on claims activity, trends, and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

·Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, finance, engineering, or construction management is required.

·Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims management or a closely related field within the construction industry.
