Sales Support Engineer - Switchgear

This position will be in the Tampa Bay market

Role Description

This Construction Sales Engineer role will support key distribution partners in the greater Tampa Bay market by providing technical sales leadership for inside and outside sales distributor sales partners. In this high-visibility position will be both in-office and in the field, leading customer-facing visits across the territory to drive sales of low and medium voltage power distribution equipment and services.

Additionally, you will work closely with Siemens distributor sales engineers and project management to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with electrical contractors and distributor partners, providing guidance around the application/use of electrical distribution equipment in construction projects, providing subject matter expertise of Siemens products and systems with electrical distributors and contractors.

This high-visibility position is required to provide a strong market presence and support distribution channel partners to drive market share growth.

Fully utilize Siemens CRM (SieSales) as the tool to develop and forecast contractor opportunities.

Product sales responsibility but not limited to: Panelboards, Switchboards, Medium Voltage gear, Lighting Panels, Low Voltage Switchgear, Busway, Motor Control Centers, Molded Case Circuit Breakers, IEC/NEMA Control, Safety Switches, and Residential Products.

Building and maintaining a business plan by cultivating a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customer base.

Develop and implement plans for strategic accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty.

Building long term relationships with senior management at key distribution and contractor accounts.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is strongly desired, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and directly related work experience will also be considered.

3+ years of successful sales experience

2+ years experience with LV/MV power distribution products

Ability to travel 50% of the time within the greater Tampa Bay area.

Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing & be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.

Preferred Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering preferred

Experience selling to Electrical Contractors is a requirement.

The pay range for this position is $73,500.00 to $153,720.00 and is eligible for Sales Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is 74,970.00 - 156,794.00 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
