Full Job Description
As a Casman Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction of custom residential homes, with a focus on safety, schedules, project scope, budgets, and quality. You will play a key role in ensuring the overall success of our projects while building strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members. Experience in custom home construction and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are important to succeeding in this role.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • 2-4 years of post-secondary education in Construction Engineering, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a Journeyman Carpentry Certificate
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent
  • Experience in custom home building
  • Carpentry experience is preferred
  • Commercial construction experience is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and industry best practices
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of residential construction from initial stakeout through project completion
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and construction activities
  • Ensure homes are completed on time, within budget, and according to project scope and specifications
  • Inspect completed work and ensure quality control standards are consistently met
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with building partners, team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners
  • Identify and address issues proactively to minimize delays and maintain schedules
  • Maintain a safe job site and ensure compliance with current occupational health and safety legislation and the established Casman HSE program
  • Complete daily Project Hazard Assessments
  • Participate in scheduled site safety meetings
  • Participate in and, on occasion, lead site safety inspections
  • Assist with incident investigations, review findings, and support the implementation of effective corrective actions to mitigate reoccurrence
