Full Job Description
In the role of Resident Project Representative II, we'll count on you to: • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts • Review accurate daily records of the inspector's daily activities and the work performed, and compliance with building code • Attend and/or chair progress meetings with the contractor, owners representatives and clients • Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems • Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until corrected • Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance • Work under general supervision of a Project Manager • Supervise and direct the activities of administrative staff and Construction Inspectors, and subconsultants Preferred Qualifications • Professional license as Texas State Plumber or Electrical Inspector. • ICC Certifications or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification • Ability to lead a team of professional inspectors and staff • Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer or project manager • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain excellent client relationships • Experience in coordinating with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) Building Official and Fire Marshal. • Experience in advanced manufacturing/industrial facilities. #LI-KT1 Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience • A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction • Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents • Must be able to work in a team environment • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
