Full Job Description
Position: Resident Care Director

Pay Range: 78,000 - 84,000 Annual Salary

The Resident Care Director leads the organization and execution of all health services and programs while maintaining a strong awareness of best practices in gerontology and longevity sciences, as applicable to the Assisted Living community. This position will ensure that each resident's desired assistance, as determined by the service plan, is met via the Assisted Living team or in conjunction with external healthcare providers.
Essential Job Functions
  • Oversees and ensures that all department programs are operated effectively and efficiently to meet the established goals of participation and outcomes.
  • Serves as a part of the community leadership team, representing the mission and values of the community at all times.
  • Participates effectively with the sales team to deliver messaging regarding Assisted Living programs and services that are clear, accurate, and compelling to all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for all aspects of financial and resource management pertaining to the Assisted Living Department.
  • Follows up on all resident care satisfaction concerns until resolved.
  • Provides direction and participation from Assisted Living team during community-wide events or initiatives
  • Understands fundamentals of leadership and management and can apply techniques to support team members to achieve performance goals; oversees ongoing training and development needs of department team members.
  • Oversees recruitment, scheduling, and time management of the Health Services department, ensuring appropriate coverage and staffing based upon the acuity and care needs of residents.
  • Communicates effectively with residents and their responsible parties on all care and healthcare-related needs. Leads all care conferences.
  • Identifies gaps in services or program delivery, and creates plans to improve process or performance. Oversees execution until resolved.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
  • Prefer two (2) years of experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) and/or at least one (1) year of experience in management in a healthcare company.
  • Prefer higher education degrees or certificates in healthcare administration, gerontology, social work, and/or nursing.
  • Current RCFE license or willingness to obtain in first 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to successfully pass a health screening, including a chest x-ray or an intradermal test, not more than 6 months prior or seven (7) days after employment.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
  • For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
