Full Job Description
  • Work in a project-based environment, performing research and other tasking for multiple clients.
  • Contribute to project-based research and development efforts within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Perform laboratory tasks at the bench for project work and routine maintenance.
  • Regularly communicate with professional staff and project management about status and technical topics related to projects, methods, and laboratory procedures.
  • Write proposals, test plans, procedures, and reports.

  • Perform analysis of biological data sets such as next-generation sequencing.
  • Perform biological laboratory practices such as pipetting, serial dilution, DNA extractions, library preparation, aseptic technique, proper PPE, and microbial media and chemical solution preparation.
  • Work independently to perform data analysis, laboratory tasks, tests, experiments, and literature reviews.
  • Work in a team environment and participate in scientific and project discussions.
  • Execute tasking on multiple concurrent projects in an organized and timely manner.
  • Practice safety on the job and in the laboratory at all times.

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Chemistry or related degree field with relevant work experience.
  • 0 years: In-person, hands-on, biology laboratory experience, to include student or professional research in a relevant scientific field.
  • Strong background/interest in molecular biology, synthetic biology, and working with DNA.
