Responsibilities
- Support the Secretary of War for Science and Technology (S&T) Program Protection as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic biotechnology initiatives
- Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues
- Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edgetechnologyessential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
- Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
- Assist, prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
- Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
- Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoD's R&E program.
- Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership and outside DoD.
- Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
- Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps, coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
- Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.
Qualifications
Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00/Yr. - USD $185,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
