Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Analyst - Landscape Architecture for the Department of Landscape Architecture within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Handles the GIS delineation/articulation of geographic boundaries and vegetative assemblage characteristics of the targeted site, using recently taken drone imagery.
  • Handles the statistical analysis and graphical representation of all data sets.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Ph.D. in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Ecological Planning or associated field.


Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Geotechnical skills and associated resource knowledge are needed for the successful completion of the McIntire grant entitled Functional Diversity Within An Urban Forest Stand.


Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of professional experience in either the professional or academic venues.
  • Experience in developing pixels curvature using the curvature function and classifying vegetation assemblages in dynamic equilibrium.
  • Experience in the use of Orthoimagery to support the hyperspectral image classification and percent vegetation cover analysis.
