Job Description SummaryThe AMRT HGP Repair Engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing, industrializing, and globalizing the inspection and repair process for gas turbine components. Strategy, Creativity, and solid engineering judgment will be critical for the success of this role. This person will lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business with the goal of improving repair quality, cost, and cycle . In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:- Analyze and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) in a timely and high quality manner.
- Maintain and manage repair qualifications for service centers, ensuring compliance and quality control.
- Lead the AMRT engineering support for the service center's 'Built in Quality' (BIQ) initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology.
- Recommend repair engineering instruction (REI) improvements for gas turbine components.
- Engage in Kaizen initiatives to enhance efficiency and assist in maintaining and updating our engineering processes.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to address quality and process issues.

Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited university.
- Min. 6 mos. experience or relevant project-based learning in component design, repair, manufacturing, or services.
- Must possess a Safety & Quality Mindset: Strong foundational focus on safety, quality, execution, and process rigor.
- Able to travel (5%) to global engineering centers, service centers and vendor locations.
Desired Qualifications:- Academic or Internship Background: Coursework or internships supporting gas turbine design, repair, manufacturing, or services.
- Academic or hands-on experience in process development areas such as additive technologies, fixture development, machining (mills/EDMs), laser applications (cladding/ablation), joining/brazing, coating, or inspection technologies.
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
- Open-minded, self-motivated, and empowered to challenge thinking to dream big and take smart risks.
- Demonstrated capability in collaborating within a team and customers to create an inclusive environment.
- Familiar with AI and possess a continuous improvement (Lean) mindset.
- Familiarity with using data analytics including, python, p-code and other computer and classical machine learning programming.
