Overview

Based in the Greater Las Vegas, Nevada area and will oversee all CARS locations in both Arizona and Nevada.

Position Summary:

The primary job function is to review files for accuracy, and thoroughness of estimates and total loss condition reports of the body shops in Mercury's CARS (Customer Authorized Repair Service) program. Travel to various CARS shops throughout the assigned geographical area is required.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$63,410 to $117,348 (NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$57,646 to $106,680 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$51,881 to $96,012 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
• Reviews assigned body shop estimates, photos, completed repairs, and repairs in progress to determine if proper procedures are being followed according to the estimate and industry standards.
• Provides regular training to assigned CARS facilities to provide coaching and areas of opportunity on understanding proper claim processing and a basic understanding of Mercury's policies and procedures.
• Works with assigned CARS facilities to assure appraisal accuracy and Company compliance, and obtains supporting documentation for claims branches.
• Maintains accurate logs and reports to track claim volume, claim timeliness, re-inspection data, and other information pertaining to the CARS program, submitting monthly.
• Resolves complex issues relating to the resolution of material damage claims; assists claims personnel, customers and repair professionals with questions and complaints; meets in person with customers, independent facilities, and other industry professionals to assist with completion of claim related repairs and claim resolution.
• Plans and schedules daily activities to ensure that re-inspections are performed on a random basis rather than a regular schedule. Reviews completed repairs and repairs in progress to determine if repairs are being performed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to industry standards.

Qualifications

Education:


Minimum:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• May include specialized or vocational courses.
• You may be required to obtain an Adjuster license.

Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Advanced technical automotive repair training/certification.
Experience:

Minimum:
• 1 - 2 years of experience in vehicle repair and vehicle estimating.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities:

Minimum:
• Strong technical and analytical ability to make complex, accurate assessments of damage and repairability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Company procedures and insurance contracts, with the ability to apply such knowledge in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to professionally guide team members on appraisal procedures.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver accurate work-product to expedite claims resolution.
• Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills to professionally represent the Company in multi-channel correspondence with internal and external customers.
• Has a passion for serving customers in their time of need.

• Ability to build rapport utilizing emotional intelligence.
• Requires automobile travel up to 50% of work time. Position includes use of a Company car. Must meet established Company standards regarding personal driving history and current license status to be eligible for position.
• Able to effectively supervise the development of assigned facilities to ensure high-quality work and efficient unit operation.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word) and claims related software.

Physical Requirements

Continuously (66%-100%):
• Must be able to maintain a sedentary position for extended periods.
• Must be able to communicate (electronically and telephonically) with team members, customers, and external parties.
• Must be able to operate and type on a computer, laptop, and/or other Company-issued electronic device for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to access and operate Company computer system, including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, and reading documents from a computer database or email system.
Occasionally (Up to 33%):
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and/or stand to access files, documents, and other equipment.
• Must be able to grasp, open, and close drawers, filing cabinets, and other equipment.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Be exposed to Harmful Funes and/or other Pullutants.

Pay Range

USD $63,410.00 - USD $117,348.00 /Yr.
