What will you be doing?- Handling workers' compensation defense cases from initial setup through appeal
- Valuing cases early and often, giving clients the option to settle or continue litigation
- Collaborating with partners and fellow associates on case strategy
- Building and maintaining relationships with adjusters and clients
- Meeting a monthly billable target of 220 hours with opportunity to earn significant bonuses above that
Key Requirements- Active California Bar license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of legal experience (civil litigation or workers' comp)
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-facing ability - this is a customer service business
- Demonstrated job stability (no pattern of frequent job changes)
- Willingness to learn and handle cases the firm's way, with a conservative approach to billing
