Overview

The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Senior Manager, Specialty Clinical Platforms - Surgical and Urology,to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, partner closely with senior leadership, and drive meaningful business impact in a complex healthcare environment. This position is fully remote with up to 50% travel for key meetings and site visits. Must currently reside in Texas or be willing to relocate to Texas prior to start date.

What does the Regional Senior Finance Manager do?

The Senior Manager, Specialty Clinical Platforms serves as the Technical Capability Owner (TCO) for specialty EHR platforms and the broader application ecosystem supporting surgical and urology practices. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for application portfolio management, technology planning, vendor relationships, and system optimization while serving as a technology thought partner to Surgery Operations as innovation opportunities are evaluated. In addition, this position directly manages a team of Specialty Systems Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), providing leadership, mentoring, and accountability for the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of critical specialty applications. The role establishes dedicated senior technical ownership for specialty systems, ensuring alignment between business objectives, clinical operations, and technology strategy. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Implements, maintains, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to specialty clinical platforms.
  • Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients and team.
  • Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies.
  • Identifies and recommends technology opportunities for solving business problems.
  • Maintains a high level of understanding of the use of information technologies in healthcare in relation to physician practices, patient care, continuum of care, electronic medical records and clinical research.
  • Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems.
  • Participates in technology planning and development cycles.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience implementing and/or supporting clinical platforms or practice operations.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Electronic health records (EHR) experience required.
  • Athena Clinicals experience strongly preferred.
  • Outpatient Surgical and/or Urology experience strongly preferred.
  • Project leadership skills preferred.
