POSITION SUMMARY Radiology Associates of Florida is excited to open a new remote overnight diagnostic radiology position to add to our growing team in emergency radiology.
Job Details:
- 7 on 14 off schedule
- Shift hours: Flexible start times starting at 9pm EST
- W2 or 1099 options
What You Can Expect:
- Case mix: Bread-and-butter emergency radiology, including trauma and strokes
- No mammography required
- MosaicOS™ is RP's next-generation operating system for imaging. It's a cloud-based, AI-native platform that brings everything a radiologist uses into one seamless environment. Instead of jumping between disconnected systems, your reporting, viewing, worklists and AI tools live in one place.
- Internal moonlighting opportunities - read as much or as little as you prefer
- Work tailored to your strengths, with subspecialty radiologist support available
- Strong relationships with referring physicians and consistent clinical exposure to a defined group of facilities
We have crafted this role to have the convenience of a teleradiologist position with the stability, teamwork, and quality of a premier hybrid academic-private practice. While you will have the convenience of working from home, you will develop a relationship with your referring physicians and radiologist colleagues as you service a limited set of clients rather than a sprawling network across multiple time zones. This team of radiologists will work together, so no single radiologist will be working without support, even at night.
Not only will you be working with some of the best radiologists, but the practice will be providing you with Remote Radiology Assistants to improve your workflow and job satisfaction. They will make sure cases are ready for your interpretation by making sure all images and prior studies are available. They will prepare your report templates with filled-in contrast doses, prior reports, and numerical measurements. This will minimize non-clinical distractions and data entry tasks.
We enjoy a state-of-the-art unified PACS software suite that aggregates all our sites onto one smart worklist, which distributes cases intelligently based on your workload and areas of expertise. Built into PACS are convenient collaboration tools that make it easy to share cases and consult with colleagues remotely as it would be in a communal reading room. There are also built-in communication tools to reach our 24/7 radiology assistant concierges and IT support, minimizing your need to pick up the phone. We also have a growing suite of artificial intelligence support tools to automatically handle repetitive tasks like searching for evidence-based guidelines, and free access to point-of-care decision support solutions.
We offer competitive pay with bonus opportunities and abundant 100%-voluntary per-click moonlighting on your off weeks. Expect a full suite of benefits and pre-tax salary deductions for education and business expenses. Our dedicated staff will handle all licensing and credentialing needs.
LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW RAF is a leading radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists.
Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets. Mosaic Reporting™ uses ambient AI and large language models (LLMs) to structure reports as you speak naturally. You can dictate as if you're teaching a fellow. Just describe what you see, and Mosaic builds the structured report automatically, even inserting normal findings for you.
Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa. In Sarasota, our physicians' staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.
