Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance and regulatory requirements, including adherence to Evonik GPS-PT documents.
  • Maintain mechanical integrity programs and safety device records in SAP.
  • Support Management of Change (MoC) processes and maintain corresponding documentation.
  • Plan and participate in budgeting for maintenance, overseeing outage scheduling and activity coordination.
  • Lead the maintenance team in resolving equipment reliability issues and enhancements.

This position provides organization, planning, and direction for the reliability of plant equipment. This position provides the implementation of technical changes/improvements and maintains technical &

regulation compliance documentation for a production plant.

The position provides the technical expertise to maintain

and continuously improve the technical availability of the plant as well as work to reduce maintenance costs through statistical review and root cause analysis.

Additional duties include process troubleshooting/process improvement assignments to support the cost and plant availability objectives. This position requires a seasoned engineer capable of complex process and maintenance assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform failure and root cause analysis and make technical recommendations for repairs and replacements considering economics and plant availability risks.
  • Provide daily technical support for equipment and process problems. Initiate, plan and implement long term corrective actions to improve the process and plant reliability.
  • Supervisory support of maintenance team on a daily basis.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for preventative maintenance of plant equipment and maintenance processes. Ensure adherence to the Evonik GPS-PT documents for the

    maintenance department.
  • Maintain the mechanical integrity program for all related devices and equipment including in SAP. Maintain records on safety devices, including PSV book with inspection, testing, & calculation methods.
  • Support Management of Change process and documentation records.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA requirements for maintenance contractors performing activities in the plant. Support the Contractor Safety Program.
  • Plan and participate in the budgeting process for maintenance. Prepare outage schedules, shutdown work list and support daily scheduling activities with job
  • Leads maintenance team on plant equipment reliability issues and resolution.
  • Maintains management systems including SAP, spare parts, mechanical integrity, maintenance quality management. Ensure maintenance processes adhere to the Evonik binding technical documents.
  • Scope and execute capital projects to support the plant goals and initiatives.
  • Provide plant specific technical expertise on the application of equipment innovations/developments and on state-of-the-art maintenance techniques


REQUIREMENTS
  • This is an experienced engineering position. Candidates for this role must possess broad-based skills in engineering and maintenance as well as in planning and organizing.
  • An Engineering degree with 5-10 years of extensive

    progressive chemical process and plant experience is necessary for this position.
  • Theoretical technical knowledge combined with analytical thinking as well as the practical

    experience to solve problems in the process, in maintenance and in technical project work.
  • Software knowledge: MS Excel, MSWord and SAP (or related CMMS experience), MS Teams, MS PowerBI, Aspen Manufacturing Suite
