Full Job Description
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Release Manager / Scrum Master to support a mission-critical program for an Intelligence Community customer. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and will orchestrate complex software releases across multiple Agile teams while serving as a servant leader and coach. The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex delivery challenges, enabling teams to perform at their best, and continuously improving software delivery in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

This position drives the delivery of innovative software solutions supporting national security missions. Duties include developing and executing integrated release plans across multiple Agile teams; coordinating release readiness across planning, integration, testing, deployment, and production support; managing schedules, dependencies, and risks; and facilitating release planning and Go/No-Go decision reviews. As Scrum Master, the candidate will facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement, coach teams on Agile principles, remove impediments, and partner with Product Managers to maintain healthy backlogs. Additional duties include coordinating dependencies across teams and external organizations, supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning and release forecasting, tracking velocity and Agile metrics, and preparing executive-level status reports and dashboards while ensuring compliance with customer governance, configuration management, cybersecurity, and change management processes.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Release management across multiple Agile teams, including integration, testing, and deployment coordination
  • Serving as Scrum Master facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
  • Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD environments
  • Jira and Confluence, or similar Agile lifecycle management tools
  • Coordinating cross-team dependencies and supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning
  • Supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Scaled Agile frameworks and multi-team release coordination
  • GitLab, Jenkins, and GitHub Enterprise, or similar CI/CD platforms
  • Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and containerized deployments
  • Supporting mission systems within the Intelligence Community
  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Release Train Engineer (RTE), or SAFe Agilist certification
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or PMP certification
