Full Job Description
Cincinnati Re is currently seeking an individual to join the actuarial team to support the reinsurance business. Responsibilities include the actuarial pricing of individual transactions and the modeling of transactions. A strong quantitative background and property/casualty reinsurance pricing experience are required. Salary: The pay range for this position is $150,000-$225,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Be ready to: • Support the evaluation and pricing of reinsurance opportunities. This includes working with the reinsurance underwriters to analyze contracts, develop loss costs, quantify the impact of contract features, ascertain capital requirements, and provide an understanding of the key risk drivers. • Perform actuarial pricing including experience rating and exposure rating of subject business. • Perform stochastic and financial modeling of transactions. • Provide assistance in the development and maintenance of pricing models. • Close collaboration with members of the broader reinsurance team. • Meet externally with current and prospective clients. • Participate in special projects as needed. Be equipped with: • credentialed property and casualty actuary (ACAS or FCAS) • 5+ years of reinsurance or large account pricing knowledge and experience preferred • 10+ years of experience in commercial and specialty lines pricing desired; such as general liability, property, workers compensation, environmental, marine & energy lines • strong problem-solving skills • ability to work in a fast-paced environment • ability to work in a collaborative team environment, including effective listening and verbal communication skills • professional, courteous and organized • availability to travel for internal meetings (4-6 trips per year) • availability for travel to meetings at client location (2-6 trips per year) • position located in Cincinnati, Ohio metro area but will consider remote location based on experience, location, and ability to travel for internal and external meetings. You've Earned: • High proficiency using Microsoft® Excel, experience with SQL Server and VBA a plus.
