Manages clinical colleagues and the processes that govern physical, occupational, speech, and athletic therapydepartments. Manages the daily operations of the clinic. Manages and monitors insurance authorizations anddenials. Manages all human resource management functions (including staffing, hiring, coaching/counseling,performance management and reviews, disciplinary action up to and including termination), purchasing andfinance functions, timecard approval, financial recovery tasks, patient satisfaction, colleague satisfaction,program development, as well as other administrative duties. Assists with the planning, development, andimplementation of clinic programs, services, and systems. Ensures all regulatory standards are met includingclinical care, billing, and documentation. Provides patient care per their professional license. This positionreports to the Director and will oversee physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists,occupational therapist assistants, athletic trainers, speech therapists, and rehab business office coordinators (inthe absence of the Rehab Business Office Manager).
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor27s degree from an accredited educational program in Physical Therapy, OccupationalTherapy, or Speech-Language Pathology related field.
State of Michigan Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy license.
3 years in a leadership role (formal or informal) in a Rehabilitation clinic.
What the Rehab Manager III will do:
Manages the daily operations of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, andAthletic Therapy Clinic including Rehab Business Office Assistants (in the absence of the RehabBusiness Office Manager) such as staffing and directing colleagues and workflow.
Monitors and determines all regulatory standards are met for clinical care and clerical functionsincluding documentation and Joint Commission requirements.
Interviews, hires, orients, coaches, provides corrective actions, provides performance management andtermination of colleagues working in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyClinic.
Manages and monitors the process for insurance authorizations and denials to assure payment.
Works collaboratively with Rehab Business Office Manager to manage the clinical flow of facility.
Creates and manages the annual budget ensuring strong financial performance.
Responsible for timecard entries and ensuring that payroll is accurate.
Reports monthly statistics to the Director level for accurate reporting.
Meets all Rehab Department leadership expectations by leading and attending leader huddles, attendsKata coaching cycles and participates in monthly Rehab leader meetings.
