Title: Regulatory SpecialistJob Location: Remote Job Term: Full-timeTravel: < 10%The Opportunity:Picarro, Inc. has an opportunity for a CEMS Regulatory Manager to assist the Industrial Solutions team with regulatory reporting for continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and daily quality assurance reviews. This position is remote but will require occasional travel to our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, and to some client sites.
Primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to: quarterly emissions report generation, Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA) review, and proficiency in the Compliance and Emissions Data Reporting Interface (CEDRI) and the Electronic Reporting Tool (ERT). The successful candidate will work closely with the Field Operations team to build proficiency in this area and develop SOPs for regulatory compliance. Other duties may include assisting with new-method development, preparing conference presentations, and generating fenceline monitoring system reports.
The successful candidate will need to be personable, have a strong background in regulatory compliance, and hold exceptional organizational skills. This position is expected to grow, and the successful candidate will be well-positioned to manage a team of regulatory specialists in the future.
Responsibilities:- Compile CEMS emissions reports in compliance with federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Review RATA test plans and reports to ensure they are conducted properly. Upon completion of RATA review, it may be necessary to input the report into the ERT.
- Track CEMS downtime and communicate with project managers and the Program Manager about any compliance concerns
- Develop SOPs for report generation and use of CEDRI/ERT
- Keep a thorough and well-organized database of all reports
- Develop site-specific monitoring plans, monitoring plans, and quality assurance plans for CEMS, workplace, and fenceline monitoring systems
- Stay up-to-date on new regulations to assist the business development team with future strategy
- Develop presentations for internal use, for clients, and for tradeshows where needed
- Train new employees on the position and ensure their growth and development, while maintaining a strict schedule for regulatory compliance
- Hold bi-weekly calls with relevant Project Managers and Directors
- Assist in new method development for future monitoring solutions
Qualifications:- Approximately 6+ years of experience in the emissions monitoring space or equal time working in an industrial setting in an EHS position
- Experience with RATA review, quarterly/semiannual CEMS reporting, and the ERT, or the ability to learn these skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
- Experience navigating a Data Acquisition System (DAS) or the ability to learn this skill
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time, including to our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus job experience.
- 7+ years of experience in the emissions monitoring space or equal time working in an industrial setting in an EHS position
- QSTI certification will be considered a plus
- Experience with fenceline monitoring is a plus
Benefits:The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $140,000. Your base salary and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
