This position is a1-year temporary role with full benefits.

The Office of Enrollment Strategy & Operations is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and systems-savvy Registrar (Temporary 1 Year). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, you will provide strategic leadership for all functional registrar areas serving both Berklee College of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee across our global campuses (including Boston, NYC, and Valencia) alongside the current Registrar. This is a pivotal interim leadership role for a data-driven professional who can manage an active department of 10 staff while navigating a major technological evolution to Workday Student. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Systems, Technology & Process Redesign:

  • Workday Student Ownership: Maintain, audit, and optimize academic rules and business processes within Workday Student, aligning workflows with academic catalog changes.
  • System Migration: Champion the ongoing utilization of Workday Student while managing the strategic sunsetting of legacy platforms (Colleague and Power Campus).
  • Change Control: Serve on the Workday Operations Committee to approve cross-functional system alignments and evaluate semi-annual feature releases.
  • Data Analytics: Leverage reporting tools like Informer and the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) to eliminate processing bottlenecks and support data-informed decisions.

Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

  • Team Oversight: Recruit, manage, and evaluate a dedicated team of 10 registrar staff members, driving high performance and a collaborative environment.
  • Academic Operations: Execute and ensure the accurate completion of student course registration, grading, degree audits, academic standing, and the formal conferring of degrees.
  • Institutional Collaboration: Partner closely with Student Success Advising, Academic Affairs, Information Technology, Data Analytics, and the One Stop team to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.
  • Compliance & Audits: Lead the registrar's components of the annual College audit and fulfill reporting mandates from local, state, and federal governments.
  • Commencement Support: Directly support logistical planning and execution prior to and on the day of commencement activities.
