Full Job Description
Registered Veterinary Technician Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RVT leader who enjoys balancing hands-on patient care with team leadership, workflow management, and staff development in a collaborative general practice environment.

In this role, you will:
  • Oversee daily hospital flow and help ensure efficient, high-quality patient care throughout the day
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to support workflow efficiency and team success
  • Support onboarding, training, and continued development of clinical support staff
  • Create and manage staff schedules based on the needs of the business
  • Assist the Hospital Manager with annual performance reviews and coaching conversations
  • Assist with recruiting, candidate screening, and hiring support staff team members
  • Help manage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels for hospital operations
  • Support veterinarians and clinical staff during outpatient appointments, surgery, and dental procedures as needed
  • Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture focused on excellent patient and client care

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling availability required, including Saturdays, to support the needs of the hospital. Shifts are typically scheduled as 4/10s between 8am-6pm.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $42-45 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $2,000
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California
  • 5+ years of veterinary clinical experience is required
  • Previous Supervisor or Management experience is required
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflow, patient care standards, and team delegation
  • Experience training and mentoring veterinary support staff
  • Comfortable navigating difficult conversations while maintaining a positive team environment
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Venipuncture and cystocentesis
    • Placing IV catheters and administering injections
    • Anesthetic induction and monitoring
    • Dental prophylaxis and radiographs
