Full Job Description
Currently, DeliverCareRx is searching for an experienced Pharmacist to work in our pharmacy located in Tampa, Florida. This role is responsible for acquiring and dispensing prescriptions for hospice patients while ensuring medication therapy is appropriate for the patient.

Key Responsibilities

This position is ideal for those who love working in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. Key elements of the role can include:

  • Collaborate with co-workers and other healthcare professionals to acquire and review prescriptions to determine appropriate medication therapy
  • Review and verify physician medication orders on a daily basis
  • Oversee medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
  • Provide Drug Utilization Review
  • Focus on quality assurance to correctly interpret physician orders and to prevent medication errors
  • Provide high quality customer service to patients and caregivers
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy as needed
  • Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company
  • Provide rotating on call services to patients on an emergency basis
  • Assist with inventory functions including, but not limited to physical inventory, cycle counting, medication adjustments
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday:

  • One opening shift: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
  • One closing shift: 1:30 PM - 10 PM
  • Three mid-shifts: 11:30 AM - 8 PM
