Full Job Description
Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). The OTR/L provides Occupational Therapy services across the continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and outpatient/wellness programming. This role partners with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to maximize independence, promote healthy aging, reduce functional decline, and support meaningful engagement in daily life.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluating residents' physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and environmental factors affecting occupational performance;
  • Developing individualized treatment plans that promote independence, safety, and quality of life;
  • Delivering evidence-based OT interventions across the continuum of care;
  • Completing documentation consistent with regulatory, reimbursement, and organizational requirements;
  • Designing and implementing wellness programs;
  • Applying evidence-informed dementia care practices that reduce stress and enhance engagement;
  • Educating caregivers and team members on communication techniques, environmental modifications, meaningful activity engagement, and behavioral support strategies;
  • Educating residents and their families regarding functional independence, adaptive strategies, and disease management;
  • Participating in wellness fairs, educational presentations, resident seminars, and community outreach;

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and have an active Occupational Therapist license in the State of New Hampshire (or be eligible for licensure). A current NBCOT certification is required, along with a current CPR certification (or ability to obtain CPR certification upon hire). A strong candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with older adults; experience with senior living, rehabilitation, home health, or skilled nursing; experience working with residents with dementia; and has certification or advanced training in dementia care, fall prevention, aging-in-place, low vision, or seating/positioning.

Position Type: Exempt

Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Hours: 32-40 hours per week depending on candidate availability (4-5 days per week). No weekends required!
