Full Job Description
Cancer Care Northwest/Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse. Job Summary: The radiation oncology staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the nursing care provided to an assigned caseload of patients treated with radiation therapy in the radiation therapy department. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the radiation oncology department. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. Participates in companywide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Minimum Job Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job. Formal Education, Certification/Licensure and Prior Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must: - be a graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education - have current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state - have current BCLS certification - have current ACLS certification (role specific) - experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer - maintain continuing education requirements - current or pending Oncology Certification preferred Benefit information and eligibility can be found at Salary DOE -$37.96-$58.84 per hour
