Job DescriptionInova Fairfax Hospital is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated RN Unit Supervisor to join our Adolescent Psychiatry Unit on the night shift. This is a full-time position with a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule (7:00 pm to 7:30 am).

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient

Minimum Qualifications:- Certification - Basic Life Support; Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of
hire - Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their
BSN)
Preferred Qualifications:- 2-3 years previous inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Previous charge/leadership experience preferred
- Previous department council/committee experience preferred
