Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Graduate of an accredited college nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as per facility policy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and resident interactions.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach with organizational skills.
• Preferred experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing operations under the oversight of the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Perform regular assessments of residents' physical and emotional status.
• Administer direct nursing care including IV starts and lab specimen collection.
• Manage the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents.
• Ensure accurate documentation of residents' medical status and care interventions.
• Communicate proactively with families and physicians regarding residents' conditions.
• Oversee completion of care assessments and ensure timely reporting.
