What You’ll Do
Registered Nurses at Newport Healthcare provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in our treatment. Key responsibilities include:
- Completing client health screenings and providing direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring any chronic health conditions
- Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relaying information to the appropriate NP/MD
- Serving as a vital part of your patients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Administering medications and ordering medication refills
- Complying with all policies and procedures, e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection control, and local, state, and federal regulations
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state where you are applying (required)
- Experience in residential nursing (preferred, not required)
- Ability to make good decisions based your analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
- A compassionate, patient-first mindset that supports you to reach the highest standards in delivery of care
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to patients’ unique experience and background.
- The capacity to multitask and to remain calm and organized, even when under pressure or in stressful situations
