Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a commitment to obtain a BSN within 5 years for those with an Associate's Degree.
• Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in Virginia, or possess an active multi-state RN license.
• A minimum of 2 years of critical care RN experience is preferred.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments by interpreting various data sets.
• Develop individualized patient care plans based on assessment findings and population trends.
• Empower patients and families throughout the healthcare experience, including end-of-life considerations.
• Advocate for patients' rights and help resolve issues from a patient/family perspective.
• Address ethical, spiritual, and cultural patient needs to enhance outcomes and support transition planning.
• Document all patient care activities in compliance with standards and assist peers with documentation processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired health outcomes.
