Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at the Kelowna General Hospital in beautiful Kelowna, B.C. About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

This is a Relief Full Time opportunity until January 31, 2027, or return of the incumbent.

Shift of work will be days and nights, with shift times of 07:30 to 19:45 and 19:30 to 07:45.

About this location/unit:
Kelowna General Hospital's (KGH) Multi-System ICU department consists of 19 patient care beds. RNs work 11.25 hour shifts and new nurse to patient ratios are 1:1.

Qualfications
• Graduation as a Registered Nurse from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Advanced preparation in a critical care clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years
