Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Endoscopy Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ.
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during Endoscopic & GI procedures to assume responsibility for patient care, document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care.
- The Registered Nurse will be knowledgeable about the scrub and circulation of duties performed in the department.
- Age Specific Competencies - age of the patient populations served (Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric)
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 0+ years' experience.
- Current NJ Registered Nurse License.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong assessment skills, along with some case management knowledge when caring for short-term patients
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1+ years' experience as an RN working in an Endoscopy department.
- Certification in a specialty.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
