Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
How you'll contribute:- Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons by assisting in caring for patients by giving direct care
- Coordinate and deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders
- Assume direct responsibility for observation, delegation, and leadership of the unit staff and patients
- Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the organization, program, and unit philosophy of care
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each patient
- Ensures all medical orders are followed, initiates and follows treatment planning, and acts as a patient advocate at all times
What we're looking for is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence with these qualifications:- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver's license preferred
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
- Basic Life Support certification and Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days
- 1 year of experience
- May be required to work flexible hours
Schedule: 3x12/4x10/5x8 + Days (7a-7p)/ Nights(7p-7a) + rotating weekends/every 3rd weekend/every weekend + on call, holidays, etc. (i.e. 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends)Pay range for this position is $39.15-$52.85 p/hrWhy join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
